She was offered by BDP to join their award winning London Studio where Shyuan was introduced to a broad range of multi-use projects spread across the UK and internationally. Soon after, the company rewarded Shyuan with a scholarship toward postgraduate studies at UCL’s Bartlett – one of the top architecture schools in the world, where she explored narrative architecture under the tutorship of CJ Lim.

Upon graduation, Ar. Shyuan’s strong interest in sustainable architecture brought her to work for the world renown architecture firm Foster + Partners in London. She became a RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) Chartered Architect in 2010 and subsequently set up her Chartered Practice Kuee Architecture.
Equipped with the exposure she had in the West and Middle East, she was ready to return to Malaysia, and particularly Ipoh where she was determined to contribute in the local sustainable scene. She successfully passed her LAM registration examination on her first attempt.
From then on, her practice Kuee Architect started to grow steadily. Over the years, she and her team has worked on many exciting projects consisted of private residence, housing schemes, hospital and medical centres, hotels, car showrooms, government and royal buildings, factories etc. Her company even explored developments internationally e.g in India and Myanmar.
Ar. Shyuan became a Green Building Index Facilitator in 2018. Recognizing her continuous contributions in this field, she was elected as the committee member of MGBC (Malaysia Green Building Council) to help promote the sustainable scene in the country.
