With the entire house sunken in ground, the bunker house is built entirely with exposed concrete.
From the top, the roof is planted with grass and unseen from the main road. The lower side has a full height glass opening facing the lawn.
Skylight is placed strategically at the bathrooms to allow daylight from entering the darker part of the house. All partition walls are designed to be 8′ high, to allow natural ventilation throughout the whole house. Green building studies e,g, sun path, daylighting and temperature simulation has been
done to predict the thermal comfort level within the house at different times of the year.
It is a definitely one of a kind “bachelor’s pad” in the city.
