The Edge โ PAM Green Excellence Awards recognize developments that demonstrate innovative sustainable design while positively impacting the community. Receiving The Edge PAM Green Excellence Award in 2022 for 1 Lasam was certainly a career highlight for me.โฃโฃ

Alongside other jurors, we faced a tough challenge selecting winners this year, given the high standard of the submissions. The shortlisted projects varied greatly, ranging from expansive townships to modest two-story buildings. Reviewing these projects reminds me of the powerful impact our work can have on the world around us. โฃโฃ
The Night Shelter however, stood out as a winner for its innovation and compassion. (I wasnโt able to be present review the co-winner Shell in Miri due to unforeseen circumstances) A collaboration between MBPP, the architect, consultants, and JKM, the Night Shelter became a symbol of hope. It shows that sustainability is about more than the environmentโitโs about supporting communities and creating spaces with compassion and responsibility.โฃโฃ

Thank you very much again, to The Edge for the wonderful, eye opening experience. Itโs good to be back again after two years alongside PAM and be amazed by how much it has advanced since. โฃโฃ
