This office is looking to apply for Green RE green certification – not just green buildings, but more demanding green interior design from electrical appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerator, microwave ovens, paint as small as walls, glue on furniture and even food provided in tea rooms must meet green, healthy, energy-saving standards!

On January 11, 2025, we marked Kuee Architecture’s 10th anniversary with a celebration surrounded by clients, partners, friends, family, and colleagues who have been part of this incredible journey. ⁣⁣

⁣⁣The event was blessed by YBhg. Orang Kaya Kaya Panglima Kinta Seri Amar Bangsa DiRaja Dato’ Ab Wahab bin Dato’ Seri Azizul Hassan (Orang Besar Jajahan Kinta), Yb Sandrea Ng (Perak State Exco), YB Howard Lee (Member of Parliament of Ipoh Timur), YB Goh See Hua (ADN Pasir Pinji), Dato Kwan Foh Kwai, Dato Alan Goh, Dato Lee Heng, and respected clients and supporters for our various projects. ⁣⁣

⁣⁣From humble beginnings in 2014 to where we stand today, it has been a decade of creativity, growth, and collaboration. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who have made this milestone possible.⁣⁣

⁣We pledge to continue help accelerating the vision of Ipoh’s Low Carbon City 2030, by designing and delivering as many green buildings as possible. ⁣⁣

The Edge – PAM Green Excellence Awards recognize developments that demonstrate innovative sustainable design while positively impacting the community. Receiving The Edge PAM Green Excellence Award in 2022 for 1 Lasam was certainly a career highlight for me.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

Alongside other jurors, we faced a tough challenge selecting winners this year, given the high standard of the submissions. The shortlisted projects varied greatly, ranging from expansive townships to modest two-story buildings. Reviewing these projects reminds me of the powerful impact our work can have on the world around us. ⁣⁣

The Night Shelter however, stood out as a winner for its innovation and compassion. (I wasn’t able to be present review the co-winner Shell in Miri due to unforeseen circumstances) A collaboration between MBPP, the architect, consultants, and JKM, the Night Shelter became a symbol of hope. It shows that sustainability is about more than the environment—it’s about supporting communities and creating spaces with compassion and responsibility.⁣⁣

Thank you very much again, to The Edge for the wonderful, eye opening experience. It’s good to be back again after two years alongside PAM and be amazed by how much it has advanced since. ⁣⁣
